You know what iJimmy fans today I am pissed off. Really pissed off and would you like to know why? Because there are a number of pretentious ass clowns out there who think that just because they can string a set of syllables together that they are world famous writers. If the people who are reading this realize I am talking about them, than good, now you know that you’re a jackass. Writing takes soul, and it takes a piece of you that has been festering inside your mind for a long time. I shake my head when I see people, and girls you are opted from this it’s mostly guys, bragging to everyone about how they have this story stuck in their mind and how they just need to write all night to get it out. I know these people, I wouldn’t be making these brazen statements if I didn’t, and I know that they are not writers.
Don’t get me wrong sports fans, I do believe that anyone has the ability to write, but when you’re going to be completely self involved about it and brag to everyone what an excellent writer you are than you put the rest of us real-time hard working writers to shame. And for shame, because someone needs to smack you up the side of the head and maybe get that part of the brain working that says, hey, you’re being an asshole right now.
Of course that side of the brain never works for me, but I’m not going to tell you all that I’m an excellent writer. My craft has been long worked on, since I was in grade 1 writing stories about ducks and using those squiggle lines in places where I didn’t know how to spell the word (I won’t lie, it was mostly made up of lines). But I think after many years of writing and throwing away and writing again I have somewhat come up to a level of writing that is acceptable and entertaining.
You don’t puke on a canvas and call yourself an artist, so don’t shit on paper and call yourself a writer.
So anyways now that I got that out, moving on.
Police brutality. The word has been around for ever, but just recently are we starting to recognize it as a serious issue facing us more and more everyday. Most recently and well known are serious taser issues, cases in which tasers were used unnecessarily.
Let’s take a look at the REAL issue here. It’s becoming a power struggle. I don’t speak for all cops when I say this but I think a lot of the time they believe they are untouchable, even become power hungry. And its us against them, no longer do any of us feel comforted by the presence of an officer, really how many of you have been questioned as just a witness and felt like you were on trial yourself? How often are you involved in something where the police were involved to protect you but you felt like you were the one who they were after. There’s no respect anymore, its like no one cares, I even have it on good authority from persons I’ve talked to within the establishments that sometimes they even steal from each other. Petty things like handling gloves or glasses or things like that but it’s still stealing. And I don’t know how comfortable I feel with a even a small time thief walking around holding tasers and guns. I’ve had numerous run ins with cops not because of my actions but because I was a witness or I got into an accident due to weather conditions and they were VERY imposing. Very pushy. Like I was wasting their time, like my condition that I got into, has wasted everyone else’s time and I’m not the victim. I’d like to see a lot more respect from the some of these officers and how about all of you? Maybe even a few of you are officers yourselves that feel the pressures of other officers not upholding the law or just not doing their jobs. It’s your right to speak out people, and it’s your right to say when this should stop...which is now. Police officers are just people like you and me they have no special protection from the law if they do something wrong they get charged along with the rest of us. And that’s the way it should be.
Keep love alive, and stop oppression with power and weapons. Let’s not let them scare us anymore. Because they’re here for our safety not to rule over us, and the next time you see a cop speeding take down his license and call it in, because they need to follow the laws just as much as we do.
iJimmy will be back next Sunday,
Until then be good to yourself and each other.

Police brutality is two words. And honestly, I get a strong feeling of pretentiousness from YOUR writting. It is well written, I will give you that, and perhaps even borderline entertaining. But your inflated sence of self-worth really makes you sound like a blow hard. But hey, as long as you entertain your 3 readers, well more power to you!
And don't listen to that fool. He/she can't spell sense...
I find it hilarious that someone has the audacity to spend time reading someone else's opinion piece and then claim that it's pretentious and just "borderline entertaining"! It obviously got YOU thinking (seeing as how you were compelled to comment) which is really the whole point. Nice try but your words pale in comparison to his!
what an ass bro. your shits awesome and you have many fans.
keep on writing about what matters.
also, as i see it its the beginning of an uprising, the anarchist moment to make their first move. the pope fight dirty we fight dirtier.
Thanks guys and you know what to the first comment, you're welcome to your opinion of my work. And yes I am a blow hard thanks for noticing, its compliments like that, that make me realize why I got into this blog.
iJimmy
I find it funny how it took a negative comment to make people want to say anything. ;)
